Economic Impact and Expectations for 2026
Based on the consolidated results of Aracati Carnival 2025, the City Hall projects a growth of 10% to 15% in key tourism and economic indicators for the 2026 edition. Last year, the event recorded an average of more than 345,000 visitors per day and generated approximately R$ 298 million for the local economy.
For 2026, the expectation is that the Carnival will welcome around 400,000 people throughout the week, including tourists and visitors, with an estimated economic impact exceeding R$ 340 million. These projections take into account factors such as the renovation of the Broadway area, which expanded capacity, improved organization and enhanced the overall experience for the public.
Aracati’s mayor, Roberta de Bismarck, emphasized that the results are the outcome of planning and continuous investment. “Aracati Carnival is planned based on data and strategy. We invest in infrastructure, organization and programming, and this is reflected in the growth of tourism, the economy, and the generation of jobs and income for our population,” she stated.
Event Formats and Structure
Aracati Carnival 2026 will feature multiple formats and stages, maintaining the city’s unique tradition on Ceará’s festive calendar. The celebration includes electric trios, beach carnival, sound system arenas, cultural carnival and the Beco Mix, offering diverse experiences for different audiences.
With this structure, Aracati remains the only city in Ceará to host a Carnival with electric trios, inspired by Brazil’s largest Carnival celebrations, reinforcing its cultural identity and expanding its visibility as a major Carnival destination in the Northeast.
