Chinese electric-vehicle maker BYD has unseated Tesla to become the top-selling EV brand in Hong Kong for the first time. According to recent data from the city’s Transport Department, BYD registered 920 new electric vehicles in September, capturing 23.16% of Hong Kong’s EV market, while Tesla recorded 853 registrations. In that same month, electric cars dominated the private-passenger vehicle market, with 3,542 EV registrations, representing nearly 76% of all new private car registrations in Hong Kong. NVIDIA’s president and CEO, Jensen Huang, has initiated a stock-selling plan that could total up to approximately $1 billion by the end of 2025.
